wonderful day out to the old Moorish capital of Spain.
On
arrival in Cordoba from Nerja, your guide will indicate the main areas of interest and there is some
free time to visit the fabulous Alcazar (royal palace) with it’s marvellous
Roman mosaics or wonder the old Arab market area. At mid-day it is time for the
group visit to the historic Jewish quarter with it’s synagogue and then on to
the world famous “Mezquita” which is a mosque with a cathedral within it and
marvel at the forest of delicate columns. After this visit there is more free
time to investigate the labyrinth of streets in the old town and sample some of
the tapas bars for which Cordoba is justifiably famous. At approximately 3pm it
is time to return to Nerja through the picturesque Malaga mountains to the Costa del Sol.
